Arizona Safe Haven Law
Giving Life and Hope by combatting Infant Abandonment

If your baby is healthy and unharmed, Arizona Law allows you to anonymously relinquish your baby within 72-hours of birth to a designed Safe Haven provider. This includes hospitals, on-duty firefighters, on-duty EMS providers, participating adoption agencies and churches that have safe haven law signage. The infant must be directly handed to a Safe Haven provider or placed within a hospital Safe Haven drawer.

No questions will be asked if your baby is brought to a Safe Haven provider healthy and unharmed.

Hospital Corridor

Anonymous drop off your baby at a designated Safe Haven Hospital.

Fireman

Fire Station or EMT  must be on-duty and infant must be handed directly to a designated official.

Coffee Shop Consultation

Licensed staff member or volunteer at a licensed private child welfare agency, private adoption agency or church which posts a public signage that they are willing to accept a newborn infant.
